The Connection Between Mind & Gut

The focus on proper nutrition for promoting mental wellness continues to grow. Darby combines Motivational Interviewing techniques with the most up-to-date research on nutrition to assist clients with a variety of wellness concerns. Clients seeking Nutrition Coaching are commonly wanting to change dietary habits, lose weight, improve mental health through diet, or focus on improving overall lifestyle. What to expect from coaching

Goal Setting

An initial intake session will assist with determining your goals for overall wellness. These goals might be solely related to nutrition, or may expand to other areas of wellness such as exercise or mental health. Referrals will be made to outside providers if needed. 

Grocery Shopping & Meal Preparation

By using a variety of techniques and skills to help you focus on your goals, we will set you up for success before being faced with temptations. Recipes, meal prep assistance, restaurant ordering techniques, and other tools will be provided as needed.

Education

Consistent and frequent education will be provided throughout your treatment. It is imperative that you have the most up-to-date information on nutrition to help guide your decision making from day-to-day. 

Frequent Feedback & Progress Tracking

Accountability is key. By choosing Nutrition Coaching, you will automatically have a support system in place to cheer you on along the way. Several research-based progress markers will be utilized to help track your goals. Frequent check-ins will always be encouraged and welcomed.
